Pole is... whatever you want it to be. What does it mean for you? For some people, it means a really fun way to work out and keep fit. For others, it's a competitive sport where (like anything else) you dedicate many hours to it and strive to be one of the best. For others yet, it's a fun hobby we have that makes us feel strong, confident, a little sexy and amazing overall!
There are many different reasons why people get into pole fitness/dancing, and all reasons are wonderful. None of them are any less important than the others.
At the studio we have people from all categories. Everyone who comes through the door has their reason for doing so and for why they come back every week... including the instructors! And all of it is wonderful.
So remember when you come to pole whether it's your first time, fifth time, whether you're beginner, intermediate, advanced, performance, competition level or beyond, it is whatever you WANT it to be. There are no minimum standards for being "good at it" (as long as you're being safe) or limits on how far you can go.
So make it whatever you WANT it to be. And have a blast with it. :-)
